In preparation for the new season, Auckland FC has announced the signing of Australian defender Aaron Calver. Calver brings significant experience, having made over 90 A-League appearances and secured two Premiership titles and one Championship with Sydney FC in the 2016/17 and 2018/19 seasons. He also played nearly 70 matches across the K-League 1 and K-League 2, winning the K-League 2 Championship with Gwangju FC in 2022. Most recently, Calver played for NPL Victoria club Hume City FC.
“Coming back to the A-League, especially with such an ambitious group, right off the back of a title, is an opportunity that I just couldn’t say no to,” said Calver. “I’m here, I’m ready and excited to help Auckland defend their title.”
